GIST:Nigerian men don’t have what I want – Actress Nkechi Emmanuel, reveals her British boyfriend has already paid her brideprice. Read Full Story Here>>>>>>>>

Actress Nkechi Emmanuel

The name, Naomi Nkechi Emmanuel, may not ring a bell. But the actress, popularly known as Nurse Titi in a television drama series, Clinic Matters, is an icon in the movie industry.

A graduate of Lagos State University, she is currently working on her latest production, entitled The Interview, due for release towards the end of this year.

In this chat with SUN News Online, the actress, who is already wrapping up her wedding plans, talks about her career, love life and how she met her fiancé. Enjoy it.

Can you briefly tell us about yourself?

My name is Naomi Nkechi Emmanuel, but people call me Nurse Titi, because of my role in Clinic Matters. I am from Anambra State. I am a graduate of History & International Relations from Lagos State University. I am planning to go for my Masters degree either in Film Production or Law.

When did you develop the flair for acting?

It’s been a long time. I would say the talent has been growing, but it took me a while to discover it. I discovered the talent when I was in church and my mum actually supported me. I was 16 then and I went for several auditions. I later went to the National Arts Theatre to make enquiries and I was told to pay certain amount to register. I paid and the whole thing started from there.

What was your first movie as an actress?

It’s ‘When You Are Mine’ and it was a blockbuster. In the movie, I played alongside numerous artistes and that was when I acted as a nurse for the first time. When the movie came out, people said I did well and that was where Mr. Paul Igwe, the producer of Clinic Matters saw me and gave me a chance.

Are you saying you started acting professionally with Clinic Matters?

Before Clinic Matters, I had done some drama series on NTA, but this brought me into limelight.

Actress Nkechi Emmanuel (Nurse Titi) on Clinic Matters.

Is playing the role of a nurse the best you can do?

In fact, I am sick and tired of playing the role of a nurse. I have acted in several movies as a nurse and I keep telling the producers that I am not born a nurse, and that I can do other roles.

Have your fans ever mistaken you for a real nurse?

No, but people always advise me to take nursing as a profession. They would say ‘why don’t you take it as a profession?’ But I can’t because I don’t have the flair for it.

What project are you working on at the moment?

I have just produced a movie that I am trying to put up; it is called ‘The Interview’. It is my personal project.

What would you say is your greatest achievement in the movie industry?

I would not say I have gotten to where I want to be, but I thank God I am someone that can walk on the streets and be recognised.

Have you ever been embarrassed by a fan?

I get embarrassed almost everyday. Recently, I was somewhere and people were like ‘she is an actress’ and someone said ‘which actress?’ and that they don’t know me, so I felt bad.

Aside acting, what else do you do?

I do photography modeling. I am a model; I do a lot of adverts.

How do you relax?

I love to exercise. I love to swim. I love to hang out with my friends. I watch movies, listen to music, read gossips online and I love to drive as well.

Why are you still single?

I am not single anymore. My bride price has already been paid, and soon my church wedding would take place.

Can you describe your man?

He is everything I wanted in a man. He is everything I have always asked God for. He is a man I love so much.

Is he a Nigerian?

No, he is not a Nigerian. He is British.

Why a Briton and not a Nigerian?

Nigerian men came for me but they didn’t possess the qualities that I want in a man.

Was it love at first sight?

No, we met on location. The whole thing started like a small feeling, and it later blossomed.

What is your view on domestic violence?

It is 100 percent wrong and I advise people that they should not create a cause for domestic violence to take place.

In case you encounter domestic violence in your marriage, what will you do?

I like to give people opportunities. I won’t just rush out of my marriage, I would take a break and let him realise his mistake.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I gave myself a target of two to three years, so five years is above my dreams.

If your husband asks you to drop acting, what would you do?

He can’t ask me to drop acting, because he is my number one fan. He is also in the industry; he’s a movie director.

What advice do you have for the up and coming actors that see you as their role model?

You have to be strong; you have to work hard because it’s not easy. You have to be focused and determined. Also, don’t lose your shape because I believe your body is your first market. Aside this, you have to be very prayerful.

NEWS:“Stop Lying, I Wasn’t Molested By Police Officers” – Girlfriend Of Billionaire Kidnapper, Evans, Refutes Lawyer’s Claims. Read Full Story Here>>>>>>>>>>

One of the girlfriends of billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike aka Evans, Amaka Offor, has refuted the claims made by the kidnapper’s lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, that she was sexually molested by some police officers.

Ogungbeje in a petition he filed before the Police Sevice Commission last week, alleged that some police officers sexually molested Amaka while trying to get Evans arrested. He also alleged that the police officers have extorted over N50 million from his client.

The police in a statement released by the public relations officer, Jimoh Moshood, denied the alegations saying it is false and baseless.

Amaka granted an interview with Vanguard and refuted the allegations made by the lawyer. She says she doesn’t know where the lawyer got his story from. According to her, she hasn’t even met with the lawyer before.

“I don’t know where that lawyer got his story from and I have never met him. I have also not seen or spoken to Evans since he was arrested. I changed my phone number after he was arrested and I don’t think he has the new phone number. After he was charged to court where he pleaded guilty, I tried to see him in prison and speak with him, but I was not allowed to see him. The wardens did not tell me why I could not see him, but they took the food I brought for him and promised that they will give it to him. I was troubled when I read the story of the lawyer accusing the policemen, who arrested Evans, of sexually molesting me, while they were trying to use me to lure Evans out of hiding. I am not a baby and I know when I am being sexually molested and abused. Nothing of such happened and I think I have to set the record straight.”

Continuing, Amaka said,

“One week before Evans was arrested, some policemen accosted me on my way to the market and arrested me. Though they were hostile to me at the time they arrested me. I was completely in shock when they told me that Evans who I know and still call Chukwuebuka Mike, was a robber and kidnapper. I did not believe it. They later told me that they wanted me to lure him to my house because I told them that he was fond of my children and he normally spent time with us. The policemen were in my house. I was always in my room and they were always in the seating room. They provided all the money we used in cooking throughout their one week stay in my house. They were strategizing on how to arrest Evans. They also bought the fuel we used in powering the generator. On the day Evans was arrested, he called me around 5:am and the policemen brought the phone to me in my room and gave it to me. I answered the call and he told me not to drop the call. I thought I was standing by the gate and I did not put on any slippers. I walked out of the gate on barefoot. When I opened the gate, I saw him parked across the road and I entered into his vehicle. The moment I saw him, I was panting and he asked what was happening. I told him policemen where in my house for one week and they were looking for him. He zoomed off immediately and took me Iyana-Ipaja where he dropped me. He left with my phone. That was the last time I saw him. I was surprised when his lawyer said I was sexually abused by the policemen who arrested him.”.

A mysterious creature has washed up a beach in the Philippines, giving beach-goers a serious fright and getting tongues wagging.

Many beach goers in the Philippines were recently left completely stunned when a mysterious creature washed up on shore.

According to The Sun UK, the unknown sea-beast was found in the shallows off Maasin City, on the island of Leyte.

Julius Alpino, from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, said the corpse could not be identified because it was already decomposing.

However he said there was a chance that the creature, which was the length of a fighter jet, could have been a whale. Nujnuj Capistrano, 42, photographed the beast after spotting it as he was passing the beach.

He said:

“I was just passing by the beach and took some photos but I don’t know about the details.

“I was surprised because it’s too big and it’s the first time I saw that kind of creature.

“I don’t know what they did with it but one thing is for sure, the creature was already dead when I saw it.

“The smell was too bad. I can’t describe it, but it was a bad smell.”

The city reportedly decided to tow the 10m creature back out to sea, saying it could not be buried because of its size and its smell was already a health hazard.

Photos show rescue workers at the scene and a vessel towing the creature away from the beach.
